Year: 2015 ■ Time span: 1 month ■ Type: concept - school project

Brief
The design of this bus stop is based on a simple glass covered structure in combination with an organic decor on the perimeter walls. Main pros of the concept are simple assembly, low cost production and visual attractiveness of the stop. To the right of the bench there is a place for a wheelchair and a baby stroller. The name of the bus stop is for legibility from a distance placed in the upper front part.

Description
The main structure of the bus stop is composed of four main parts - side walls, roof and rear strut. The parts are made by cutting, bending and welding a stainless steel profile with a cross-section of 80 x 80 mm. The bench for sitting made of wood-plastic composite is fixed with three arms to the back strut and stands on two legs. Perimeter walls are made of a tempered glass with a thickness of 8 mm and the decor sticker from the inside. The roof is made of 13 mm tinted polycarbonate with UV protection. Drainage of water from the sloping roof is ensured by a roof gutter with a downpipe in the left rear pillar equipped with a service opening and soakwell. The entire structure is anchored on brackets that are embedded in the ground under the paving.
