The main objective of the proposal was to create a distinctive and unifying design language that could be used for EV charging stations - both free-standing and wall-mounted versions. The proposed solution includes just the design of only one of them. The supporting element of the concept is the strong visual contrast between the inner dark body and outer light covering. These two elements are separated by a colored light strip that runs around the entire object and visually represents the flow of energy from ground to the vehicle. The dimensions and layout of the elements are based on human ergonomics and ensure simple and convenient operation of the device for the users. Technical specifications are based on the similarly sized production EV chargers.
